What wind speed is classed as extreme?
We can secure the gazebos down very well as they are professional structures compared with your standard shop bought gazebo, however, they do have a limit. The cut off speed for us to refuse setup at all is gusts of 55mph. This is really pushed to the limit and honestly wouldn't be enjoyable to sit in even slightly below this wind speed. Please bare in mind that the decision to refuse setup will be based on several factors such as how long during the event there is extreme wind for example if your setup is on grass and it's 53mph gusts for more than 4 hours we may decide that its still unsafe in the location its being setup in. Enclosed gardens will keep the structure safer compared with the open larger gardens we setup in and trust us from experience in our own large garden we have had more than one accident with the extreme winds! We will check the wind speed regularly in the 7 days before your event and will contact you if we are concerned about setting up for your event. We use the weather app installed on Apple Iphone to check the forecasted wind speeds for reference. These are of course subject to change at any time so we may not contact you until the day before or day of your event if the speed has risen significantly compared to previous checks.
How long is the hire for?
Hire is for 1 night. We will arrange with you a convenient time to set up on the day of your event and then return the following day to collect.
Can I hire for more than one night?
Yes, we offer a discounted rate for additional nights hired. This amount would be personalised according to your booking.
When do I pay for my booking?
We request a £50 deposit either via bank transfer or via the payment options on the website at the time of booking. The outstanding balance is then paid 7 days before the event in the same ways as above.
Can I pay the full balance before the due date?
Yes, you can pay the balance off at any time before the due date.
Can I add more gazebos or accessories to my booking after my deposit has been paid?
Yes, subject to availability on the date of your event.
Can I remove or change gazebos or accessories on my booking?
As long as the change is made prior to the last 7 days before the event date then subject to availability you may be able to upgrade or downgrade gazebo size and/or accessories.
What happens if I cancel my event?
If you cancelled your event prior to the 7 days before your event date, you will just lose your deposit. If you cancel your event within the 7 days before your event date, you are still expected to pay the full outstanding balance, if not already paid. However, we may be able to reschedule your event subject to availability.
Can I change the date of my booking?
Subject to availability you may be able to change your event date.
What happens if the equipment becomes damaged during my event?
Once we have finished setting up and left the premises, all the equipment hired is your responsibility as the customer. If any equipment becomes damaged during your event you would be expected to pay in full to replace the equipment. You would need to pay this cost within 48 hours of the event so that our business is not affected. You will not be charged for marks and stains on chair and table covers as this is to be expected after any event.
What if the weather becomes extreme and I'm worried about damage?
Please contact us if we haven't already contacted you and we will come and collect the equipment to avoid destruction. In the event this happens and disrupts your event we would be happy to offer 50% discount off a future booking.
What if the weather is too extreme for the structure to be erected at all?
In the unfortunate event that there has been, or due to be; heavy snow, flooding, or high winds for the duration of your event we would contact you to cancel your setup. We will of course offer you another date subject to availability.
